Lost and found/Megkerült

Bëlga/Bëlga (band)

A few words should be enough and the hungarian audience would know, which band I'm talking about. In 2011, around late October my classmate called me. There is this very "big thing", a special project from the Belga (famous hungarian hip-hop band) announced their "good bye"/final concert to the press. Every reporter and TV channel will be there. If you know the Belga, you know exactly you don't have to believe what they say. Not a word. Obviously, they didn't even think about disbanding the band. So we got the opportunity to shoot during the "goodbye" Belga concert. We had 3 cameras. One of us shot from the stage, the other (that was me) from the first "vip" line (very good close ups) and the third/last one from the distance, behind the crowd. When we were done, I had all the videos on a huge memory card and started to watched them, one by one. Kept the good ones, chucked the bad ones. After all, only two things left behind. Select the best song and edit all the videos on the music.

Rehearsal/Próba

Szegedi Kortárs Balett/Contemporary Ballet Szeged

Another piece of the talented dancers of Tamás Juronics. This video shows how the company strives for perfection in every single minute, before each show. Their dance is precise and eye-catching. Enjoy!

Woodkid. The Golden Age video/Woodkid. The Golden Age klip

Woodkid - The Golden Age, O2 Brixton Academy, London 13.11.13

The following video was inspired by one of my favorite singer, song writer, director and art designer. His name is Yoann Lemoine, or as everyone knows him, Woodkid. I was in an ecstasy to get in to his concert. I was so excited when I finally held the ticket in my hands. The next day I was on the train, straight to London. Brixton Academy, security guards all around the building. Hardly, but got through the long queue. Just a few minutes now till everything starts. Suddenly, all the lights went off, me and my french friend, Claire were standing close to each other, breathless, waiting for the concert to start. Then, he appeared on the stage and bang! Like a huge explosion.
The most beautiful experience in my life! His voice, all the lighting, the visual effects, mixed with those mesmerizing classical tones… It was like a magic, which was happening right in front of our nose. It was such an indescribable feeling! On my way back to Southend, all the songs were around my head.
A few days later, I uploaded all of the videos what I made during the concert. Grab the videos, import them in Final Cut and step by step the whole concert reborn. I know it's a very personal thing, but every single time I watch it, I experience the whole gig again. Thank you Yoann for the awesome show!

Movements/Mozdulatok

The Movements was made for a short dance film competition. I called myself lucky, cause I could shoot and looked inside of Tamás Juronics and his talented dancers rehearsal. Tamás and the dancers were very co-operated and helpful during the whole rehearsal, I made more than 50GB shots. At the end, the choice wasn't easy, cause I had to choose only a few scenes for the last variation. That's the very last version, I hope the jury will like it!

Tömörkény 50

A következő film egyik nagy büszkeségem.

The next film is one of my pride. The art teacher's of the Tömörkény István High School asked me to make a 15-20 minutes lenght movie for an open day, so they could show all of the courses to the young students whom want to start their further studies in the high schools. I said yes, of course, cause I used to be a student of the institute too and I thought its kid of a new challenge, because I never made such a movie like that before. The deadline was quite close, but at the end, I think, I made the most out of the time and the disposable technique. At the beginning of the film, one of the art teacher, Tünde Ruzicska, helped me in the photography, so I could be thankful for a few scene.

Filmmakers' Tale/Filmesék meséje

A filmesék meséje Szemendrey Istvánnal készített közös produkciónk.

The Tale Of The Filmmakers was made by the help of István Szemendrey. We would like to make a silent movie for a long time, because both of us are a huge fans of Charlie Chaplin's works, so we wrote to each other to meet somewhere. I told him all of the short stories which were on my mind, after he shared with me his ideas as well. We met again a few days later, he brought the whole script, so we could shoot the film. The story of the film is not too complicated and the lenght of movie is quite short, we finished with the shooting during one afternoon. At the editing, István used a few cutting technique in "Tarantino style". He tried to modernisation that old genre.

The Cast/Szereplők

Jano's caracter was born on the summer of 2009. First it was just circles and lines in a piece of paper. He was the first member of the animation. The further members were born, while I listened to a song (if I wanna be absolutely precise) Tomorrow we'll see from Sting. I was amazed and touched by the murky atmosphere of this song and I started to draw. After, step by step the whole story was in my head and the paper creatures came to life. I made the plasticine dolls only 2 days, but the painting of the 2 scenes (bar and Jano's flat) and the preparation of Jano's piano took a bit longer. Anyway the piano was materialized by my sister, Kata. So she became a tiny part of the movie too. The longest term was obviously the "making of the movie" itself. For the first time I shot by my Super 8 camera, but when I screened most part of the animation was too dark to see anything, cause the lighting wasn't enough. I changed the Super 8 to a normal camera. I shot many times, cause the movements were too lumpy. Finally I made it!
I hope you'll like it! Enjoy!
